Here are five (technically six) of the largest private employers in the Lehigh Valley...

Lehigh Valley & St. Luke’s University Health Networks

The largest employers in the Lehigh Valley are its two largest healthcare networks, Lehigh Valley Health Network and St. Luke’s University Health Network.

Lehigh Valley Health Network is a non profit medical network of eight hospitals and dozens of facilities throughout the Lehigh Valley. The flagship hospital for the network is located in Salisbury Township.

St. Luke’s University Health Network also provides non profit medical care at seven hospitals and numerous other facilities throughout the Lehigh Valley or just outside of it.

Amazon

We have all heard of Amazon but did you know they operate not one but two fulfillment centers within the Lehigh Valley? Amazon's first fulfillment center is located in Breinigsville with its latest one in Palmer Township. Each fulfillment center employs hundreds of people with more positions being added constantly and the need grows.

Wind Creek Bethlehem

One of the biggest employers in the Bethlehem area is the Wind Creek Resort and Casino. The facility employs people in a number of different functions including at its outlet mall, restaurants, casino, entertainment venues and hotel. The resort and casino has been in operation since 2009.

Lehigh University

One of the area’s premier institutions of higher education is also one of its biggest employers. Lehigh University employs a number of professors and other staff to house and educate its 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

Air Products

In the industrial and scientific space Air Products is a major employer in the Lehigh Valley. Air Products is a well known worldwide supplier of industrial gases. The company first set up its presence in the Lehigh Valley in the 1940s after World War II and is now headquartered in Trexlertown.
