One of the fastest growing industries in the Lehigh Valley is transportation and logistics. The sector has a 9.5 percent year over year growth rate and has added more than 10,000 jobs in the last five years.

The Lehigh Valley is home to logistical hubs for large companies like Amazon, Walmart, FedEx and BMW.

Education and Healthcare 

The biggest employer in the Lehigh Valley is the healthcare and education sector. The region boasts a collection of top hospitals and institutions making it more than just an employment asset.

A few of the healthcare and educational facilities driving employment in the Lehigh Valley are Lafayette College, Moravian College, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, St. Luke’s University Health Network and the Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Professional Services 

Business and professional services make up a good chunk of the the Lehigh Valley workforce. This sector includes a variety of companies that utilize the resources and location of the county to conduct business.
