If you are looking for an area filled with forests, fields and creeks for hikers of all skill levels then you will be happy at Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center. The state park features more than 1,100 acres of land to explore with 5 trails suitable for hiking and biking ranging from 1.4 to 3.6 miles and the hiking-only Henrys Woods trail.

A beautiful and beloved spot for a hike is where the Lehigh River cuts through Blue Mountain. On the East and West sides of the river sit the Lehigh Gap Nature Center. The east side is known for its amazing views and challenging terrain. The area itself is a hikers dream and features a number of great trails to explore for hikers of varying skill levels and terrain preferences. Set out on the Delaware and Lehigh Trail to see a wide variety of warblers and songbirds or hit the Three Ponds Trail to explore the nearby wetlands.

If you are looking for a long trail you can conquer in pieces the Delaware and Lehigh Trail is perfect! This trail is 165 miles from the Poconos to Trenton following the Lehigh Canal, Lehigh Valley Railroad and Jersey Central Railroad. Looking for a challenge? This trail is a great place to get a great workout in. The Switchback Railroad Trail is a moderately challenging trail at the site of the second railroad in the United States and the first in Pennsylvania. Enjoy a few different trails totaling 18 miles of varying terrain and amazing views - just make sure you are ready. At the top of the hike on a clear day you can see the beautiful Onoko Falls!
